Welcome Special Effects enthusiasts! This October I will be doing something I have not yet done before… teaching a class on SFX! Come and find me at the Twilight Bazaar in Frederick, MD for a unique, hands-on workshop that will leave you delighted and disfigured!

The Twilight Bazaar will be held on Oct. 17, 4pm to 9pm. This class starts at 5:30pm. Perfect timing to come check out the other vendors and entertainment at the Twilight Bazaar, drop by for my class, then finish out the night by freaking people out!   • Class size is limited. I will do my best to try and accommodate last minute interest, but I can’t make any promises.

  • Red is the color that stains THE MOST! Most of the add-ins and color mix-ins available for fake blood creation will stain if they touch your clothing. Keep that in mind!

  • Basic foundation will be provided in a variety of shades, but as we all know, skin tones can vary greatly! If you would like to bring your own foundation to use, please do :)

  • A variety of materials will be applied to your skin during this workshop. Scar wax, spirit gum or glue, basic makeup, plus whatever you choose to add to your fake blood. This experience may not be for you if you have skin allergies, sensitive skin or are prone to breakouts. Participants will be instructed to choose whichever area of the body they’d like for wound creation- some might choose their hand or arm for sensitive facial skin reasons.

  • All materials will be provided, including a metal spatula and a small container of scar wax. Participants are encouraged to take home their spatula as well as any amount of scar wax they did not use during the class. A small container will be provided for participants to take home the fake blood they create as well.
